LSLiDAR Invited to 2025 Bay Area Tech Innovation Dialogue: Empowering the Future of the Low-Altitude Economy with Hardcore Technology

Tech Empowers the Bay Area, Ushering in a New Era of Industrial Development

On April 8, 2025, the “2025 Bay Area Tech Innovation Dialogue — Tech Empowers the Bay Area, Leading a New Journey,” part of the “Understanding China” academic salon series, officially kicked off in Guangzhou. The event was co-hosted by the China Institute for Innovation & Development Strategy and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao National Applied Mathematics Center. As a leading enterprise in the LiDAR industry, Shenzhen Leishen Intelligent System Co., Ltd. (LSLiDAR) was invited to showcase its cutting-edge low-altitude economy products. Chairman and CEO Mr. Hu Xiaobo participated in the keynote dialogue “Riding the AI Wave: Technological Innovation Reshaping Bay Area Industries”, where he joined experts from government, academia, and industry to explore new paths for technology-driven industrial upgrades in the Bay Area.

Cutting-Edge Low-Altitude Product Matrix Demonstrates Hardcore Tech Prowess

At the event, LSLiDAR became the center of attention by presenting its “All-Scenario LiDAR Solutions” and cutting-edge technologies for the low-altitude economy:

Guardians of the Low-Altitude Economy: The LS-S4, the world’s most comprehensively powerful long-range fiber LiDAR; the MS07, a fiber laser  LiDAR for ultra-long-range UAV management; and the LiDAR optoelectronic system—all featured detection ranges of 1000m, 1500m, 2000m, and 4000m. These systems offer precise detection and tracking of low, slow, and small aerial targets, providing kilometer-level capabilities for drone regulation and urban airspace safety—perfectly aligned with the Bay Area’s growing low-altitude economy.

Aerial Traffic Safety Shield: The MS06 anti-collision LiDAR, developed for eVTOLs, flying cars, and helicopters, ensures safety in low-altitude urban airspace with its high resolution and strong anti-interference features, helping the Bay Area build a futuristic “aerial metropolis”.

Intelligent Brain for All-Scenario Perception: LSLiDAR also displayed image-grade 1550nm fiber laser LiDARs, ultra-long-range laser distance sensors, and advanced fiber-optic inertial navigation systems. These products address scenarios in smart cities, autonomous driving, and unmanned systems, demonstrating LSLiDAR’s full-stack R&D capabilities in high-end equipment.

Active Engagement and Consensus Building

LSLiDAR’s booth attracted a steady stream of visitors and collaborators. Notably, Mr. Huang Qifan, Executive Vice Chairman of the Academic Committee of the China Institute for Innovation & Development Strategy and former Mayor of Chongqing, visited the booth and held in-depth discussions with CEO Hu Xiaobo. Their exchange covered low-altitude economy, autonomous driving, and V2X integration, aligning on the future directions of enterprise involvement in Bay Area development.

Leading the Way into the Future of the Low-Altitude Economy

During the keynote dialogue, Mr. Hu Xiaobo shared insights from LSLiDAR’s business practices. As a global leader in LiDAR technology, the company plays a critical role across multiple sectors.

In autonomous driving, high-performance LiDAR is a fundamental requirement for full autonomy. In the low-altitude economy, LSLiDAR’s ultra-long-range fiber laser LiDAR excels in UAV regulation—being the only LiDAR in the world capable of detecting a DJI Phantom 4 drone from 500 meters away with a precision of ±2 cm. In contrast, 5G sensing fusion has an error margin of 15–20 meters, while microwave phased-array radar is far more costly. LSLiDAR’s solution provides key technical support for managing low-altitude aircraft. Mr. Hu advised local governments to prioritize the selection of appropriate technologies when building low-altitude infrastructure to avoid wasteful investment.

Beyond this, LiDAR is also widely applied in robotics, embodied AI, intelligent transportation, rail transit, and maritime and aviation sectors. In 2022, Mr. Hu founded Tianluhai Navigation Technology Co., Ltd., specializing in fiber gyroscopes and fiber-optic inertial navigation systems. With 100% domestically produced components and a strong cost advantage, the company has reduced the original million-level cost to just tens of thousands of yuan, and it is now collaborating with major state-owned and central enterprises.

Integrating into the Bay Area’s Vision for Innovation

LSLiDAR’s participation not only showcases its technological strength and leadership in the LiDAR industry but also signals its firm commitment to deeply integrate into the Bay Area’s development strategy. As the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area accelerates its journey toward becoming an “International Center for Scientific and Technological Innovation”, LSLiDAR will continue leveraging hardcore technology to drive industrial upgrades, focusing on cutting-edge sectors like the low-altitude economy and unmanned systems, delivering power to the global value chain.
