On May 27, 2025, Shenzhen LeiShen Intelligent System Co., Ltd. (LSLiDAR) was officially awarded the “2023 Shenzhen Science and Technology Progress Award Certificate” by the Shenzhen Municipal Government. With its project titled “Key Technology Research and Application of Multi-Sensor Fusion for Intelligent Transportation Based on High-Performance LiDAR”, LSLiDAR proudly received the First Prize.
This award, established by the Shenzhen government, is a highly prestigious honor in the field of science and technology. It is designed to recognize organizations and individuals that have made outstanding contributions in technological innovation, achievement transformation, and industrial application. The award represents the highest level of recognition by the Shenzhen government for projects with significant technological breakthroughs and industrialization value.
The award-winning project focuses on the research and application of multi-sensor fusion technologies for intelligent transportation, centered on high-performance LiDAR. It covers two key areas: LiDAR technology and multi-sensor fusion.
In terms of LiDAR technology, LSLiDAR has achieved full autonomy over key components, with its five major LiDAR product platforms now 100% domestically manufactured. This breakthrough has significantly reduced the cost of LiDAR systems, built a secure data and information infrastructure for domestic applications, and accelerated the adoption of LiDAR in diverse scenarios such as intelligent transportation, vehicle-road collaboration, unmanned forklifts, robotics, and the low-altitude economy.
In the area of multi-sensor fusion, LSLiDAR has innovatively integrated LiDAR with cameras and other sensors, applying deep learning algorithms to enable highly efficient and accurate data fusion. This has addressed the challenge of real-time and precise fusion of heterogeneous road data from multiple sources. By applying this technology to transportation scenarios, LSLiDAR has developed a variety of intelligent transportation solutions, including roadside perception systems for vehicle-road collaboration, smart traffic lights, intelligent pedestrian crossings, and smart ETC triggers. These solutions have greatly improved the efficiency and safety of transportation systems, promoted the development of smart cities, and expanded the range of applicable scenarios. Moreover, they have significantly enhanced the research and manufacturing capabilities of China’s intelligent transportation equipment sector.
Looking ahead, LSLiDAR will take this achievement as a new starting point to continue its deep investment in LiDAR technology and intelligent transportation.
